Absolute perfection! 🤩 Amazing work from both of you; easily one of the best songs I've heard this year

Here's to many more epic tracks this year!

Hi! I saw your comment on my song; I thought i should take a look.

The biggest issue i'm noticing is that the mix is really all over the place. it seems like some of the elements, like the kick, fx, bass, and other stuff is almost trying to steal the spotlight from the melodic elements. to fix this, i would start by eqing a lot of the fx and make them (and the kick) a lot quieter. the strange thing i've seen with artcore is that most people tend to try and make the drums as unnoticable as possible while still letting them drive the rhythm. i would try to do something like this. I think a big problem is that all of the elements are fighting for the same space, which again, leads to the conclusion that you should put more focus on the melodic elements. The bass is another big problem; pretty much all low end frequencies is having this strange wobbling effect. i don't know why its happening, but fixing it would really improve the quality of the song.

In terms of the actual song itself, I think its pretty good. the one thing i would say is that many artcore songs tend to put more emphasis on the melody, but i have seen plenty of exceptions, so it isn't a big problem. Also some of the slow sections might take away some of the energy of the song.

I hope this helps! just to let you know, snow crane song was only my very first time making artcore, so i'm very new to the genre as well. we both still have a lot to learn, but i hope this helps you get to the level you want to be at. again, I really think these melodies and such have potential; just fixing the mix can make this song amazing.

I'd really just recommend you look into mixing. Looking for resources online is probably the best way to go about it.

Thanks this is a big help 😊

I love the experimental ideas and mix is great.

Very epic!

Thank you!

You are really good at making cinematic tracks like these; I don't know how you do it. I really love this one's atmosphere especially

Neurodust responds:

Thank you!
The trick is sound selection, there is a lot of good kontakt libraries where you can tweak the sound a lot, my preferable way for now is granular sound design. There is a big amount of cinematic percussion sounds too.
Also I imagine a scene in like videogame or smth where the track can be playing in. And I create this scene for a song cover using a bunch of AI generated images bashed together. This basically gives you inspiration for a melodies, also my goal with those is use less "4 bars loops repeating" stuff, so I experementing with melodies range a lot.
AND MAIN TRICK IS.... R E V E R B. I use a TON of reverb (maybe that`s why my project lagging so much hmhm)

I really love this song, and I honestly think that the messiness adds to the atmosphere, and it never feels repetitive. Great job with this!
